On the way to Disneyland we ended up taking the wrong exit, and had to loop around to enter the freeway once again. Anyways, we finally got to Disneyland right when it opened. After the standard baggage checking and ticket entry, we were in.
First we went on the Disney Railroad to tour around the regions of Disneyland. Right after we got off the train back at the front of the park we headed through Sleeping Beauty's castle and into Snow White's Scary Adventures. The wait for this rider wasn't bad, but it was fairly short for a ride. Next stop was Peter Pan's Flight since it was close to the previous ride. The line was kind of long, but again, the ride didn't last all that long.
After that we headed off to another region of Disneyland called Tomorrowland where we spent a quarter of the time at. First area in Tomorrowland was the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. The wait was 45 minutes long, but it was worth it, because while waiting we also saw the Jedi Training Academy event happening right next to the Submarine Voyage. After the show ended, it was not much longer to get into the submarine. After entering, the submarine, I thought this would be another one of those small rides, but actually the voyage ended up being 30 minutes long. While underwater, we saw bits and pieces of the movie, and a little more to make it feel like a submarine voyage rather than just seeing a summary of the movie "Finding Nemo." After the voyage, we ate lunch at around 2 and then moved on to the Disneyland Monorail.
The monorail went around all of Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure right across from Disneyland. After the monorail trip, we set off to go to the Haunted Mansion at the New Orleans Square, but ended up going to Frontierland first, since it was on the way. While at Frontierland, we went on the Sailing Ship Columbia, which actually appears to be a pirate ship instead of the Riverboat posted in my album. While sailing around the Rivers of America, we saw an imitation of Tom Sawyer's house located on a small patch of land right in the middle of the river. We also saw a statue of a Native American chief, and a cannon being shot twice to ward off pirates that weren't actually there. Right after that we got a tour of what a pirate ship looks like under the deck.
After leaving the ship, we finally headed to the Haunted Mansion, which still looks the same after seeing what it looked like about 10 years ago. After going inside the doors behind us closed, and then we had a "supposedly" spooky voice come up on the speaker. Then after the doors opened we traveled through the mansion, which also has a ride inside it.
Soon after, we exited the mansion we planned on heading back to Main St. where the "Celebrate! A Street Party" would be. But before that, we happened to have seen the "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride. So we headed inside of what appears to be a mansion on the outside. While it looked small on the outside, it was surprisingly big on the inside. So after waiting for a little while, we went on the ride and happen to see a restaurant located right next to the ride. We didn't end up eating there, but after going for a while we began to see the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" story unfold slowly through the props that were set up on the stages and a couple of surprising drops that made the ride a little wet.
As soon as the ride ended we finally headed over to Main St. where we waited for one hour for the Street Party to begin. During the wait my dad and I went to buy ice cream. The line was a little long, but we eventually got there. With 20 minutes to spare, the parade got underway. I took a whole lot of pictures as seen in my album I uploaded last week. After the event, we headed to where the Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse statue was and waited for another couple of hours for the fireworks show to begin. While waiting I took several more pictures before my mom suggested that we get dinner since we'll probably leave late. Dinner ended up being very costly, 2 portions and a drink for $32.00. That's way too expensive, I mean I could buy 6 Subway sandwiches with that. As soon as we finished dinner and cleaned up a bit. we waited for about 1 more hour until the fireworks began shooting out from Sleeping Beauty's castle. During the show we saw Tinkerbell as usual, flying around the castle and we saw Dumbo making its way around the castle.
When it ended, my parents decided to go back to the hotel room, which wasn't really far from the resort. It took a while to get out of the resort, because most of the guests decided to leave at the same time as we did. Although we were leaving there were still people entering to see the final show of the night. Eventually we got to the car and exited Disneyland resort.
Overall, it was the most fun I've had in a long time. If you were to ask me to go again I would, because there are still areas and rides I haven't gone to yet and still want to experience it. Alright on that note, this ends my blog for the trip thank you for reading.
